Sick Day

I woke up this morning with a major sore throat. After spending all day in bed watching t.v. I decided to go to wall mart and pick up some soda pop. I wound up splurging and getting a couple t-shirts and a movie. Saw the bobsledders do the hokey dance on t.v. When I got back. We have thirty-six medals now, yay U.S.A.! All the way! I really wish I could have a warm fuzzy kitty in my dorm. You just can't get the same feel better when you're sick feeling hugging a goldfish. If you read this one follower, hug my kitty so I can live vicariously through you.

I'm With Watson

This week really flew by fast. I hardly remember any of it, other than that I went to class, did some reading, and watched a little t.v. The only thing out of the ordinary was that yesterday I totally spaced out my northern narratives class and was half an hour late. I didn't miss anything. My proffesor agreed to be a referance and go over my resume for me. There's a job fair in a couple weeks so I could use all the help I can get. I think I might be catching something sicky, I'm all congested and achey and tired. Of course, the tired could be from those annoying people in the room next to mine who insist on yacking it up till past midnight and their loud music and "oh my god I was so wasted last night and I got my nipples pierced last week and they're kinda tender right now"... Seriously, I thought college was supposed to be filled with intelligent educated adults not a lot of drunken retarded apes. If the RA in charge wasn't one of them I would totally complain. Meantime I'll just eat some orranges and go back to reading Sherlock Holmes, at least when he gets drugged up and wasted he's confined to a book and can't bug me with his violin music. I can totally see why watson moved out.

Lottery

I watched a movie today called Brotherhood of the Wolf, it was weird and awesome at the same time. It was french though so I watched it in subtitles. I really want a pair of canvas high tops in green but haven't had much luck finding a pair online other than the official converse store but they're fifty bucks there. I would love to find a twelve dollar pair of airwalk kicks but I couldn't find them either, the kicks aren't even on the official airwalk website. I have more reading to do for class but I'm so bored and lazy that I just don't want to do it. I wish I could retire and live off the interest generated by millions in lottery winnings. Now if only I knew of a place to buy a lottery ticket at this late hour of the night.

Best Birthday Concert Ever

I drove home Friday for the Lonestar concert. I stopped and got some v-day candy on sale. I picked K.R. up and we jammed out to my Lonestar greatest hits cd. I wore my new green shirt. K. had on a blue and brown and green shirt. We decided to switch purses so our outfits would match. The seafood buffet was yummy! Everyone had seconds of crab. N.H. was there too. We spent a while in the arcade using up K.'s parking lot tokens. It was way more satisfyingly fun than the casino, which we also hung out in while we used up the 5 dollar coupons they gave us with dinner. The concert was the best! Lots of clapping and screaming and singing and dancing. All my pictures came out bad though.

Satrday I watched some t.v. and went into town with my folks. My dad had to check his railcars. We got to watch one guy loading a car. It was really cool but I forgot my phone so I didn't get a picture. He was totally one of those kida who always won at the claw machine. We had lunch at the Adventure. I had the elk sandwich. It was o.k. but I think I'll get it without the cheese and ask for steak sauce next time.

My mother made me some banana bread this morning. Soo yummy. I stopped at the mall on the way back to school to look for green hightop shoes but couldn't find any. I did get a cute pair of blue ones on sale for 12 bucks. I guess I'll try online later. I think I'll eat some dinner and go to bed early. I had a busy weekend.

USA! All The Way!

My northern narratives class was cancelled again today. We're supposed to use the time to work on our essays. I got assigned a really obscure city state to report on in world history, who ever heard of Pyu? Not even the teacher had before last week. I've been really tired all this week. It must be from staying up late to watch the olympics. Hey, at least the U.S.A. is winning. We have eighteen medals so far, 6 gold, 5 silver, and 7 bronze. The next closest only has eleven medals. I get to go home for the concert tomorrow. Should be a blast.

Expired!?!

Yesterday I just kinda hung out, didn't do much. Watched some olympics. Did some homework. Today was about the same. I did go to Duluth with J. We went to olive garden and split a meal. It worked out to six bucks a piece. I was going to try a wine sample but I discovered that my driver's license is expired. I guess I'll just have to drive real careful until I can get it renewed on Friday. Just in time for the Lonestar concert. Meanwhile I'll watch some more olympics, men's figure skating, and then hit the sack.

Happy V-Day!

I went home for my birthday on Friday. I got to see my grandma and grandpa and my folks got me a fancy chocolate pie. I hung out with L.G. on Friday and she stayed at my house for the night. We all watched the olympic opening ceremony. All the guys from Bermuda showed up in Bermuda shorts. It was hilarious. Those poor natives were kept hopping for two hours. The fiddle performance with those celtic dancers were pretty cool. One of the legs on the olympic torch got stuck so the wheelchair guy got left out of the lighting ceremony. My mom and L. and I went to Ely on Saturday to see the snow sculptures. There were some pretty cool ones (no pun intended).

Now I'm back at school. I thought maybe they'd give us president's day off but I guess uws doesn't care about the presidents. I used my target gift card to buy 7up and chips. I was going to get a cd but target has a lousy music department. I guess I'll have to make do with the butchered versions of pop songs they use in figure skating.

Pretty

Yesterday I was exhausted because the idiots next door decided to start blasting angry metal music at 2am. I had to go out and pound on Their door to remind them what time it was. After class I went back to bed and tried to take a nap. I think I just made myself more tired.

Today I started working on a rough draft for an essay in norther narratives. I need five more pages. I also need to decide what Sherlock Holmes story I'm going to write on for a paper in literary criticism.

Also, it's my birthday tomorrow! Jill gave me my present today. Her mom and she made me a beautiful green quilt. It's so pretty! I really have to send a thank you card to Mrs. F. And come up withsomething really cool for J.'s birthday gift this summer.

Surrounded by the Ill Read

I wasn't feeling too well yesterday but I'm fine today. It must have been all the junk food I indulged in on Sunday. Today I discovered I was surrounded by ill read people. I mean, psychoceranics= the study of crackpots=hilarious. But for some reason everyone had either no clue or thought I was talking about drugs. On the bright side, I did get some free pizza out of an impromptu quiz game get together in the dorm lobby. I got our team second place because I knew the difference between effect and affect. For my lone follower who never reads this that would be your thing to look up for the day. And discombobulate. Everyone should know about discombobulate.

Yes, It Has Been Going Fast

I guess this week has been going fast as the last few days just flew by. I went to class. Did some reading. Watched some great t.v. You know, boring everyday stuff. I went to the mall this morning with J. where I broke down and bought another book. Now I have to avoid all bookstores with a vengeance if I want to put enough money on my card to order Andromeda online before I die of old age. Besides, I still have 40 unread books to finish. I also just finished watching this special on the history channel about the Kensington rune stone in southern Minnesota with the viking runes carved in it. Turns out it wasn't fake and has been scientifically dated to the fourteenth century. There is this crazy theory about the knights templar and the free masons though.

Or has it been going fast?

This week at school has been going slow. Or has it been going fast? I don't really remember. I went to class. Did some reading for class. Went with J. to the mall where I broke down and bought some Green Arrow comic books. I did write a poem today inspired by something goofy I wrote when I was a kid. The new version is way better. It's called Beneath the Autumn Sun and you can read it at White Fox: Silver Crow and on my page at fifteen minutes of fiction. I suppose it is appropriate for Valentine's day. Sort of. Also, only 15 days till the concert!
