What?

I took my second grammar test on Friday and I think I did pretty good. J.F. and I went to Red Lobster for dinner. I took a picture of the bridge accross from the parking lot. It raises up for ships to go under into the bay.

Today we went to petco to visit the ferrets. It was pet adoption day and they had lots of puppies and kittens. If it wasn't for dorm room rules I would have taken a kitty or two home. We got some groceries at wall mart.

We got in a big fight because I said there really wasn't an equivalent to black history month for people of other races. J.f. said that the Irish have st. Patrick's day and that makes up for it. How can one day devoted to mass marketed clover pins and drinking equal an entire month devoted to history and great past leaders of a group of people? Answer: it doesn't. Not in a million years. Especially since the Irish were treated so badly in Americas past as well. But then she was like, the Irish were white. So what? Does that mean their suffering doesn't count? A lot of Jews were white, does that mean the holocaust doesn't count? And she has the audacity to say I should move to the cities in order to get some perspective. Seriously? Can she be any more of a whacko? So now she's mad at me because I took it too personal. Jeez, if common sense means I take things too personal then sign me up.
