I'm Back!

Just so everyone knows, I did not drop off the face of the earth or die or vanish or get abducted by aliens or something. I went to San Antonio Texas for Basic Military Training for the United States Air Force. It was really hard and really miserable and I made it through anyway. Technically I'm not supposed to say anything about it on a public forum though so anyone who actually decides to follow my blog will just have to live in perpetual ignorance or join the Air Force themselves to find out. Meanwhile I'm out here in beautiful Monterey California, if it were ever to stop raining, enjoying my first day off in over two months. I slept in till ten-thirty, washed my own laundry, and just spent more money than I should have downloading cool stuff for my iPad which I probably spent too much money on to begin with. My roommate has been gone for most of the day but I don't mind because it means I get the room and the internet which we are sharing all to myself. So far nobody's yelled at me, except for the once but that was for demonstration purposes only. I want to get some dinner to-go but I really don't want to have to get dressed and leave my nice warm room. It's still raining and I don't want to go outside. I guess I should get used to doing things I don't want to do now that I'm in the military. I just hope that tsunami safety briefing they gave us will prove useless.
