My Lunch Today

Today I went to a group meeting for one of my classes, stopped for lunch in the college snack bar, and then decided to go home and take a nap.

As I was walking back to my dorm room I felt a cramp in my middle and suddenly became dizzy. I sat down to rest for a minute on a strategically placed park bench. I leaned back and as the sun hit my legs I could feel its warmth, absorbed by my black jeans, radiating across my skin. At the same time goose bumps rose up on my bare arms as a breeze came by to ruffle my hair. I closed my eyes and waited for the cramped nauseous feeling in my gut to pass. To think, today would have been perfect if I hadn’t eaten that day old chicken salad sandwich from the back of the snack bar fridge. Next time, I’m just getting the soup.

Things turned out fine though, but man, I'm never getting another chicken salad sandwich again. Besides, I really like the chicken wild rice soup, it's a lot better than the the chicken noodle, though not quite as good as the stuff they serve at Grandma's resteraunts.

Anyway, I also snapped a picture of the campus clock on my way back. I always thought it would be kind of neat to have a big outdoor clock like that in the yard/garden of my future house. I've always wanted a little brick house on the corner and a lampost and an outdoor clock would be nice to go with it.
